Ja Rule talks fame, reality TV, Roc-A-Fella Records, new album, and more with “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

Ja Rule Breakfast ClubBy YRS Jerzy

In the early 2000s, Ja Rule took over the hip hop world and made it cool for rappers to sing. This is something Drake actually used in his battle with Meek Mill, this past summer. But, before all of those guys, there was Ja Rule making hits.

Signed to Def Jam, Ja Rule started out as one third of a crew with Jay Z and DMX. However, by 2002, Ja Rule was easily the biggest artist of the three and the first to top Billboard Hot 100. Everyone knows how the rest of that story went, but Ja Rule is back with a reality show.

Ja Rule stopped by “The Breakfast Club,” talking to Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy. The interview was mainly to discuss the new show, “Follow The Rules,” on MTV2, but they ended up discussing much more, no surprise. A hilarious interview, Ja Rule spoke on Jay Z, almost signing with Roc-A-Fella, Irv, Dame, and being compared to Tupac.
