In 2007, Jadakiss made a move that surprised many, when he decided to sign with Roc-A-Fella Records after meeting with Jay Z. A few years prior, Jadakiss had massive beef with the label. While they ended their issues, few expected Jadakiss to join the team.
Ultimately, the move was short-lived, as Jay Z would leave Def Jam months into the deal. This led to Jadakiss’ Kiss My Ass (later renamed to The Last Kiss) being delayed two years. In 2009, Jadakiss released his first album in five years and promised another album in 2010.
Jadakiss promised to become an “album a year” artist and the trend would continue with Top 5 Dead or Alive. However, the album did not come and was forgotten by 2012, as Jadakiss reverted to a low profile. Now, Jadakiss has resurfaced with his album and he revealed the release date, November 20, and the cover on Instagram.
