Recap: Jay Z – #TIDAL1020

Jay Z Beyonce 9Rappers are mostly associated with youth, but Jay Z was the first rapper to talk about growing up. This is a movement Jay Z began in 2003, when he began highlighting business moves. Earlier this year, Jay Z entered a new business venture that became TIDAL.

Over the course of his business career, Jay Z made many various moves and opened doors for many stars. Most of these stars were with Jay Z, last night, in Brooklyn for TIDAL X: 10/20. When he was the president of Def Jam, Jay Z signed several artists.

Jay Z signed such names as Rick Ross, Rihanna, and Young Jeezy, helping to launch their careers. Other names, such as Nas, were people he signed after the fact. Meanwhile, Roc Nation manages the careers of Rihanna, Meek Mill, and countless others and the bulk of those people showed up last night.

TIDAL X: 10/20 is a show people will not forget anytime soon. After Nicki Minaj performed with Beyonce, fans were calling it the greatest show of all-time. However, performances from the Rick Ross set, which included DJ Khaled, Meek Mill, and French Montana, were panned, along with T.I. not getting a good review. This was not the case for Usher, when he came out with Nas and Bibi Bourelly, as they recevied strong reviews.

The moment the people were there for were Beyonce and Nicki Minaj’s performances, however. Many people noted the Beyonce weight gain and they were fans of her booty comeback and Nicki Minaj’s outfit obviously won. All in all, the show was unforgettable, especially when the man responsible took the stage, performing with Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, and Beyonce.

Last night, all roads led to Brooklyn and TIDAL got a big win in the streets when popular web series, “Money and Violence,” revealed it will stream on TIDAL in January 2016.
