Only a handful of rappers enjoy social media more than 50 Cent. He enjoys social media for the sheer fact that he can poke fun at his rivals with just the click of a button. The past two years have seen him dedicate Instagram to dissing Diddy and “Empire.”
His beef with the Lee Daniels soap starring Terrence Howard is that he feels it is a rip-off of “Power.” In actuality, the two shows are nothing alike, but people still compare Omari Hardwick’s lead character, Ghost, to “Empire’s Lucious (Howard). This season, “Empire” dissed 50, too.
However, since “Empire’s” record-breaking season premiere, where they dissed 50 Cent, the ratings have been down. Still, the show is head and shoulders above the rest of television, but 50 Cent is enjoying their slide. As ratings went down for a fourth straight week, 50 Cent took to Instagram to tell “Empire” that “Power” season three will blow them away.
