Ever since “Empire” premiered, Lee Daniels has been killing it. Casting big names, Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson proved to be winning moves. For going on a year, “Empire” has remained the top rated show on television by a mile.
Many people are wondering how Lee Daniels and his talented staff have done it. Some point to the celebrity cameo appearances in every episode that have ranged from Sway Calloway to Chris Rock. Now, Lee Daniels is going for even more.
Lee Daniels recently had an exchange with Nicole Kidman, who he once interviewed and said she would be on his set. She asked if she could appear on his set, which is now “Empire,” to which Daniels said “sure.” This season of “Empire” already had cameos from the aforementioned Sway and Rock, with more from Lenny Kravitz, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, and more.
Kidman’s role, likely in season three, will have her going toe-to-toe with Cookie (Taraji P. Henson).
