Five years ago, Waka Flocka Flame took over the mainstream after years of mixtape success. Despite having tremendous success in 2010, he was relatively silent in 2011. One thing Flocka did do was release the single, “Round of Applause,” however.
In late 2011, Drake jumped on “Round of Applause” and Waka Flocka scored a hit in 2012. It would be in 2012 when Waka Flocka Flame truly made his mark on the game. The success he had then led many to believe he was following up, immediately, with a new album.
Waka Flocka Flame last released an album in 2012, but did do a season of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” This morning, Waka Flocka Flame stopped by Power 105.1, talking to “The Breakfast Club’s” Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy. Among other things, he discussed his new outlook on life while he was there.
