Warren G talks “Regulate,” living through “Straight Outta Compton” era, and more with Power 106 [VIDEO]

Warren G Power 106The early 1990s was a time not to different than the early 2010s, when an artist from Los Angeles was guaranteed success. At the height of the West Coast era, Warren G emerged on Death Row Records. He delivered his single, “Regulate,” with Nate Dogg and scored a classic.

Warren G is the best friend of Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s stepbrother, yes, the reason Snoop and Dre met. When Dr. Dre became a part of Death Row, he signed both artists. A bit of this was portrayed in the new movie, Straight Outta Compton.

Recently, Warren G sat down with J Cruz for “The Cruz Show” on Power 106 and he discussed his history. Anytime Warren G sits down for an interview and talks history, this means talking “Regulate” and the album of the same name. He would go on to discuss living through the Straight Outta Compton era, and much more.
