Early this year, hip hop lost a lot of notable rappers who played important roles in the game. Unfortunately, Chinx was one of them and a lot of people were counting on him. A member of the Coke Boys, he was also a part of Riot Squad and kept Stack Bundles’ vision alive.
Chinx was brutally murdered in Queens following a performance the night before. The shooting came right when Chinx was on the verge of superstardom. This was something Jay Z pointed out during his TIDAL freestyle.
Recently, Chinx’s wife and manager, Janelli and Biggs, stopped by Shade 45 to talk to the homie, DJ Superstar Jay. During the interview, they talked about “Pop That,” French Montana’s breakout hit 2012 single. They said Chinx originally made this song and gave it to French.
