In 2011, the world soon came to know Astro, a rising young rapper from the city of Brooklyn. Popular on the local scene, Astro received major attention when he appeared on FOX’s “The X Factor.” The series, produced by Simon Cowell, gained Astro international fame.
Astro talked to Hip Hop Vibe about his time on “The X Factor” during the fall of 2013. In the years since then, Astro has dedicated a lot of time to acting, even playing on a series. There was an even more subtle change from the Brooklyn emcee, the name change to Stro.
Recently, Stro sat down with Hot 97’s Ebro and Laura Stylez. During the interview, Stro discussed growing up and changing his name. But, when he attempted to call Ebro out for not playing his music, a bit of an argument broke out with Hot 97 coming out the victor in the eyes of the public.
