Ice Cube and O’Shea Jackson, Jr.: Back and Forth with NWA [VIDEO]

O'Shea Jackson NoiseyBy Matthew Bridge

Consistently, for thirty years, Ice Cube has been one of the most influential urban figures. As part of NWA, Ice Cube was very vocal about social injustices. This is something he inserted into his solo career, which followed the NWA run.

However, the 1990s saw Ice Cube transition into the film world as both an actor and a producer. Among his biggest staples are the Friday series, Boyz n The Hood, and his films with Mike Epps. So, clearly, he would be very involved in Straight Outta Compton, the NWA biopic.

Ice Cube’s role was portrayed by his real life son, O’Shea Jackson, Jr. and he received strong reviews for his effort. Noisey had both O’Shea’s sit down for a back-and-forth interview. In typical Vice fashion, the two interviewed themselves, discussing NWA and the movie.
