Nicki Minaj blasts Instagram follower who accused her of being racist for praising #StraightOuttaCompton first week sales

With no question, hip hop is like a community more than any other aspect of pop culture. Most urban areas around the world are community oriented and it spills over into work, such as hip hop. This is why many members of hip hop take pride in Straight Outta Compton’s success.

Chronicling the initial rise of Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, DJ Yella, and the Ruthless Records camp, Straight Outta Compton debuted well. In only a week, sales are just shy of $60 million. Indeed a major win just to tell the story of some boys from Compton.

Nicki Minaj is from Queens, but she is also a NWA fan. In her most-recent post on Instagram, Nicki Minaj boasted about the success of the film, a black film. A fan was prompted to attempt to call out Nicki Minaj for her comments, leading her to set the record straight and then block the fan.
