Nine years in the public eye, Jennifer Hudson is now one of the biggest names in music. Well aware of her impact, Lee Daniels cast Jennifer Hudson for “Empire,” his breakout soap opera. Season two is back in a month and Jennifer Hudson is said to be returning.
However, Scott Bernstein has more plans for Jennifer Hudson, namely playing Aretha Franklin in the currently unnamed biopic on the iconic singer. Those who think they may recognize the name Bernstein actually do, as he worked on Straight Outta Compton. Now, he is working on Aretha Franklin’s flick and Jennifer Hudson is the front-runner.
