Miami is one of the hottest cities in hip hop, home to many of the biggest legends and current stars. However, Miami was put on the map by Uncle Luke and 2 Live Crew in the 1980s. A big hit, off the bat, Uncle Luke ended up facing off against Dr. Dre and Death Row Records.
Uncle Luke gained his status as a legend and even rap for mayor in Miami, but came up short. However, he still protected his city, calling out such names as Drake, Diddy, and Lil Wayne for partying in his city. In the end, they all agreed to get active in the community, also.
Recently, Uncle Luke sat down with Sway on Shade 45’s “Sway In The Morning” and he spoke on his career. He discussed the time he won a case against Michael Jackson, an impressive feat within itself. They also talked about him going bankrupt, the freakiest artists, and much more.
