This week, Funkmaster Flex really made the hip hop world angry with him when he jumped into the Meek Mill/Drake situation. Taking sides with Meek Mill, Funkmaster Flex promised Meek Mill will drop a diss track against Drake on Hot 97 on Monday. Ultimately, it did not happen.

Immediately, fans took to social media and began bashing Funkmaster Flex for “pump faking.” Some speculated as to why Funkmaster Flex didn’t come through like he said he would. A hunch some had was Jay Z blocking Flex getting the exclusive in favor of TIDAL.

Regardless of Ebro’s explanation, Funkmaster Flex turned some people off for good about him. Legendary Naughty by Nature member, Treach, spoke out about Funkmaster Flex. Going in on his Twitter, Treach said he is declaring New Jersey as a “No Flex Zone,” as in Funkmaster Flex, and said he will never make money in his state again.
