By 2005, Mariah Carey cemented her position as an icon. At this point, most figured Mariah Carey was as good as done in the game, even with a new album out. But, she turned in what was arguably the best work of her career and had 2005’s most-successful album release.
Mariah Carey enjoyed another five year run and she has since begun to fade into the background. This year saw Mariah Carey return with a new album. It did not have the sales and the acclaim of the album she put out, ten years ago.
But, Mariah Carey’s accomplishments have not gone overlooked. Over the past three decades, Mariah Carey has made quite the impact on the game. Recently, she was given her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she shared a photo of her star on Instagram in celebration of her accomplishment.
