In the 2011-2012 period, there were a handful of new producers who came up and soon took over the game. On the West Coast, it was DJ Mustard who brought a different sound to the industry. While he worked more with YG, DJ Mustard’s first hit was with Tyga.
DJ Mustard produced “Rack City” for Tyga and it led to him enjoying a four year run of success. Soon, DJ Mustard found himself recruited by Jay Z, signing with Roc Nation. During the same time he signed with Jay Z, DJ Mustard and YG finally had success.
This afternoon, DJ Mustard released 10 Summers: The Mixtape and he stopped by Big Boy at Real 92.3. When he came in, DJ Mustard talked about his new project and he also spoke on working with Britney Spears. He also told a hilarious story about running into his mother while he was in the strip club.
