In the late 1980s into the early 1990s, Kid ‘N Play became one of the biggest duos in hip hop. They made a big impact on the game and they soon made the transition to doing movies. Their House Party movie series is a classic and it lives on to this day.
Pop culture has made both Christopher “Kid” Reid and Christopher “Play” Martin mainstream stars. It all stemmed from the energy they brought into their music. The contributions they made to hip hop will all be revisited tonight on “Unsung” on TV One.
Kid ‘N Play definitely had bangers back in the day and they reached a peak in music, back in 1988 with 2 Hype, their debut album. Among the singles on the album is “Rollin’ With Kid ‘N Play,” which was a big hit during that time period. To coincide with their “Unsung” feature, tonight, Hip Hop Vibe decided to feature “Rollin’ With Kid ‘N Play” as the Wednesday Throwback.
