The past year has been different for Lil Wayne, as he has completely fallen out of love with Cash Money Records. Last year, Birdman was a second father to Lil Wayne and now he’s a guy trying to ruin his performance in Miami. But, Lil Wayne is finally living his dream of working with Jay Z.

When Lil Wayne first announced his deal with Jay Z, many assumed he was joining Roc Nation. While that would have been an epic deal, it wasn’t the deal Lil Wayne was talking about. Instead, Lil Wayne joined TIDAL, the streaming service Jay Z is backing.

In one day, Lil Wayne proved he made the right move with The Free Weezy Album, when it received 3 million streams in a 24 hour span. What was already a big win is even bigger, as Lil Wayne, arguably, has the biggest album release in history. Yes, the Free Weezy Album is free, but the album received 10 million streams in its first week.
