Back in 2009, 50 Cent was actually looking for a new beef and his choices were Lil Wayne and Kanye West. During this period of time, they alongside Jay Z and T.I., were the biggest names in hip hop. Also in the mix was Rick Ross, although his hits were nowhere near as big.
Seizing an opportunity, Rick Ross gained instant promo when he decided to diss 50 Cent on “Mafia Music.” Never one to turn down a fight, 50 Cent immediately hit back. But, Rick Ross proved to be his toughest opponent ever, uniting Fat Joe, Game, and Ja Rule for one diss record.
50 Cent made his beef with Rick Ross personally, bringing the mothers of his children into the situation. The baby mama 50 Cent got close with was Lavonia Leviston, who is the mother of Ross’ youngest child. He leaked her sextape and the woman later filed a lawsuit, which went to trial and today the judge ordered 50 Cent to pay $5 million to her in damages.
