A year ago, no one would have expected Lil Wayne to go through the turn of events he has. Last year, during this time, Lil Wayne had “Believe Me,” featuring Drake, taking over the radio. It seemed as if Tha Carter V was right around the corner.
However, all of this soon changed when Birdman continued to delay the album release from Lil Wayne. Meanwhile, he continued pushing another artist who had a Carter album in the works. Indeed a strange set of events, long story short, Lil Wayne finally signed with Jay Z.
Courtesy of TIDAL, Lil Wayne is living out his dream of working with Jay Z. Tomorrow, the deal becomes official when Lil Wayne releases The Free Weezy Album. For now, the world will have to settle with Lil Wayne releasing the track listing for the upcoming release, boasting features from Wiz Khalifa and Jeezy.
