50 Cent says f*ck the #BETAwards and accuses FOX of buying off the show after Terrence Howard won Best Actor

50centbetawardsrantvidThis weekend, the 2015 BET Awards took place and it was filled with big moments. All over the show was FOX’s hit soap opera, “Empire,” which saw Terrence Howard win Best Actor. Of course, this, along with “Empire” stars, Jussie Smollett and Yazz, performing set 50 Cent off.

Before “Empire” premiered, 50 Cent was at the helm of hip hop’s biggest drama series. His show, “Power,” airs on Starz and deals with the underworld. Although the show does not bill itself as a soap opera, it contains similar pacing to “Empire.”

50 Cent is known for creating rivalries and he chose to take on “Empire,” often calling out the cast and crew. “Empire” was the basis for his rant against the BET Awards after Terrence Howard won Best Actor, while “Power’s” Omari Hardwick wasn’t even nominated. This, paired with the “Empire” performance prompted 50 Cent to say FOX paid BET off for “Empire” placements.
