With so much talk about TIDAL, it’s unclear how the company actually is doing. In the media, many have deemed TIDAL a failure at the hands of Jay Z. But, Jay Z, himself, says TIDAL is doing well, just as well as any other startup company.

Those in the business world know it takes anywhere between five to ten years to launch a profitable business. However, when it comes to Jay Z, he usually always makes a few million upfront. TIDAL has been a different story, however, with Andy Chen stepping down as CEO in April.

After Andy Chen stepped down, Peter Tonstad stepped up as interim CEO of the company. Now, TIDAL has even more bad news, as Peter Tonstad has stepped down as TIDAL’s interim CEO, which has led to another major change. Executives in New York and Oslo will now run the company.
