Ever since Young Thug first began receiving attention, many became aware of his sound being similar to Lil Wayne’s. Once Young Thug began making appearances, Young Thug said Lil Wayne was his idol. Soon, he started living his lifestyle when Birdman started working with him.
Young Thug soon began associating closely with Cash Money Records and it looked like Lil Wayne would soon co-sign. But, instead, Lil Wayne grew frustrated with Birdman and started fighting the label. Now, Lil Wayne is working closer with Jay Z, his idol.
While Young Thug has gone between playing off the Lil Wayne beef and dissing him, no one thought he would ever get violent with him. In April, however, Lil Wayne stopped in Atlanta and his tour bus got shot up. Now, Young Thug is revealed to have been arrested in connection to the shooting.
