Critics can say what they will about 50 Cent, he made the most out of every opportunity that came his way. Needless to say, what people thought was 50 Cent’s peak was nowhere near it. A move that came as an initial surprise was when he was revealed to launch “Power” on Starz.
“Power” is a drama that follows a drug dealer/nightclub owner, portrayed by Omari Hardwick. The show, much like it’s broadcast counterpart, “Empire,” is essentially a soap opera. Rave reviews have come in for “Power” over the past year it aired.
This weekend, Power returned to Starz for its second season. Anticipation for the show was high and 50 Cent did all he could to promote it. Now, he has good news, as he broke the Starz record for ratings, as the show brought in 1.43 million viewers in its 9:00 hour.
