It’s been a little over a week since the devastating news and it’s still shocking to know Chinx is dead. The Queens native got his start working with Stack Bundles as a member of his crew, Riot Squad. In later years, however, Chinx rose the ranks of the Coke Boys beside French Montana.
Since 2012, Chinx has remained as one of the hottest bubbling under rappers in the game. Many people felt as if Chinx was one hit away from really being a force in the game. There were several times when Chinx showed flashes of what he could be in terms of stardom.
Unfortunately, the world will never see what Chinx is capable of. The rising superstar was laid to rest in Queens today and the hip hop world has paid their respects to him. Countless fans and celebrities flooded their social media timelines with respects to Lionel “Chinx” Pickens, rest in peace to the up-and-coming legend.
