Nine years ago, Young Dro took the game over with “Shoulder Lean” and then Best Thang Smokin, his debut album. For the following seven years, Young Dro remained out of the spotlight, however. He did have mixtapes and 2013 saw “FDB” become a huge single.
Young Dro talked to Hip Hop Vibe in 2013 about his High Times album and the “FDB” single. A lot has changed since then, as “We In Da City” is his new hit single, leading his new album. Meanwhile, Young Dro also has a reality show pilot in the works.
This morning, Young Dro stopped by “The Breakfast Club” on Power 105.1, talking to Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy. He spoke on “We In Da City,” which has taken over Atlanta and he talked about all the hits he has and the opportunities he missed. Young Dro went onto address the new generation in Atlanta, the changes on the scene, Yung Joc’s reality show situation versus his own, the gay rumors, his theft charge, T.I., his new album, and much more.
