Suddenly, Janet Jackson is the center of the music world, again. As a member of the iconic Jackson family, Janet always had a place in the music industry in the upper crust. But, Janet Jackson went on an extended hiatus following Discipline in 2008.
Janet Jackson returned to the headlines early this month. A list began circulating the internet and it had several album release dates revealed, among them a Janet Jackson release. The release date was set for July 10, but many tried to disprove the story.
During her birthday weekend, this past weekend, Janet Jackson revealed she indeed had a new album coming on July 10. However, one thing detractors of the story had right was the album will not be released on Atlantic Records. Instead, Janet Jackson is inking a 360 deal with Live Nation for her new album and tour.
