It hurts that almost every month we have to come out and report stories like the Freddie Gray murder in Baltimore. The beauty comes from how the people rally with support. In this situation, Jay Z and Beyonce stepped up in a major way for both Freddie Gray and the city of Baltimore.
One can only hope what Jay Z, Beyonce, and Prince have done in Baltimore will get the same type of press as other stories. They are not the only ones helping in Baltimore, there are many non-celebrities who will never get credit for the work they have done. Still, the unity is beautiful.
In the case of Jay Z and Beyonce, they catch flack for everything. Many try to write them off as materialistic and superficial. But, in this case, the two were selfless and inspiring, as they met with the family of Freddie Gray in private, however there are photos of the meeting that some people in the room took.
