Seeing how most of 2014 went by without any new J. Cole music, most didn’t expect anything from him. But, the last week of the year saw him drop 2014 Forest Hills Drive and the album is making history. The ever-popular Fayetteville emcee went platinum with no features.

J. Cole followed up the biggest hip hop move in 25 years by becoming a part of a new business venture. The biggest business venture in music in 2014 is TIDAL, for better or for worse. Spearheaded by Jay Z and also including the likes of Kanye West, and Rihanna, the platform struggled.

A boost is set to come, as J. Cole is bringing his next concert to life exclusively on TIDAL. Many say exclusive content is what TIDAL needs in order to regain the strong momentum. Now, rumor has it that J. Cole will stream his next live concert on TIDAL this Monday.
