This past season of “Love & Hip Hop” centered around Mendeecees being freed from prison. Being a free man allowed him to reunite with Yandy and finally be a family. On the show, however, there was plenty of drama between Mendeecees and Yandy.
During the final episodes of the season, Yandy changed her last name to Harris and welcomed her first daughter with Mendeecees. There was no marriage, however. This was saved for the VH1 wedding special, which Erica Mena said was originally for her and Bow Wow.
Mendeecees proved to be a changed man in “Love & Hip Hop” season five, working as a legitimate businessman. Somewhere between the ending of filming and yesterday, all of this changed, however. Yesterday, Mendeecees plead guilty to drug trafficking charges for being involved with drugs from 2005 through 2012 and he faces between eight and ten years in prison, but he will remain free until his August 31 sentence.
