Golden State Warriors almost blow 25 point lead, hold on to defeat Pelicans in game one #2015NBAPlayoffs

Warriors10overpelicansigAll season long, Stephen Curry has played like the MVP of the NBA. A lot of teams get off to strong starts in the NBA season, but can’t hold out. This is what many people expected out of the Golden State Warriors, but they didn’t slow down.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson took the Splash Brothers to the next level. The only question all season long was which team would earn the eight seed to play the Warriors. In the end, the Oklahoma City Thunder were stunned by the New Orleans Pelicans for the final seed.

Most of game one looked like it’d be an easy game for the Warriors, which is what everyone expected. Stephen Curry scored 34 points and Klay Thompson followed with 21 points, but the Warriors did not have an easy win like it looked throughout the game. Anthony Davis led the Pelicans back into the game in the fourth quarter, finishing with 35 points in his debut, but his team lost 106-99.
