Seeing how his album, The Album About Nothing, is out, Wale is being discussed by everyone. Although he is currently viewed as one of the hottest rappers out, Wale was almost considered a bust. As he tells the story, he had a label that didn’t know how to push him.
After leaving Interscope Records, Wale relocated to Miami, met Rick Ross and joined Maybach Music. The move was surprising, even though Ross said it could happen. In 2011, Maybach Music had an amazing year, but the year of 2014 was a disappointment from the crew outside of Rick Ross.
Each year, a Self Made album was promised, but Meek Mill going to prison derailed this situation. But, Meek Mill has been free for close to six months and the label is hard at work, making up for the lost time. With this, Self Made 4 is in the works and Wale is taking on the duties of executive producer.
