Wale talks “The Album About Nothing,” acting, black film, “Empire,” and more with Angie Martinez [VIDEO]

Wale Angie MartinezEver since the beginning of his career, Wale has always had presence. At the time before he hit it big, Wale already had Jerry Seinfeld as a fan of his music. This laid the groundwork for Wale to have Jerry Seinfeld work with him on The Album About Nothing.

His fourth studio effort, The Album About Nothing, dropped last week and Wale was everywhere in promotion of it. Along with going out and doing promotion, Wale has shared his ideas with the world. A lot has changed for Wale, including leaving Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

Wale sat down with Angie Martinez at Power 105.1 to discuss The Album About Nothing release. In the interview, Wale discussed how he and Jerry Seinfeld came together and what it’s like to work with him. From there, Wale began discussing black film and talked about his desires to be in films and do shows like “Empire” and “Power.”
