Jay-Z announces official launch of Tidal music streaming service with support from Usher, Beyonce, Kanye West, Madonna, Rihanna, and more

To say Jay-Z came a long way is an understatement. Early on in the days of Roc-A-Fella Records, few would’ve guessed Jay-Z would be running the whole Def Jam label within a decade. Going a bit further, even less would have predicted him to leave Def Jam to form an even bigger company.

But, this is exactly what Jay-Z did with Roc Nation, which is one of the biggest music companies. The company consists of a record label, artist management, and live concerts. This isn’t enough for Jay-Z, however, as he has a new venture in the works.

Early this year, it was revealed that Jay-Z purchased Aspiro, a music-streaming service based overseas. This service has been rebranded as Tidal and Jay-Z is officially launching the new service today. It is $19.99 for the full listening experience and $9.99 for the regular service and Jay-Z has launched it with support from his wife, Beyonce, Usher, Kanye West, Madonna, Rihanna, and many more.
