Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson definitely delivered in “Empire,” bringing Lee Daniels’ vision to life. Everyone is talking about the show, which also stars Trai Byers, Jussie Smollett, and Bryshere Gray. But, all of those talking are not all fans.

The premise of “Empire” is Terrence Howard’s Lucious Lyon founding a record label called Empire Entertainment. He was aided by Taraji P. Henson’s Cookie Lyon, his ex-wife. Their sons, portrayed by the aforementioned young men, are all vying for the CEO spot of the firm.

But, now “Empire” is facing legal action from the real life Empire label, Empire Distribution. This label has distributed music from the likes of Mandy Rain, Kendrick Lamar, N.O.R.E., and more. They have decided to sue “Empire” for using their label name for their television show and, obviously, they want a piece of that pie.
