Malik Yoba talks being killed off of “Empire” with TMZ Live [VIDEO]

Malik Yoba TMZLast week, “Empire” wrapped the first season and it is easily the biggest new show in history. The show had a very big ending with a key character being killed off. Of course, Terrence Howard’s Lucious wouldn’t be killed off, even if he was diagnosed with ALS.

Malik Yoba was a key character on the show, playing Vernon, a man who helped Lucious raise his sons. The character of Vernon plotted with Trai Byers’ character, Andre, to take Lucious’s empire. While the two often plotted, they often fought, with their last fight turning daily.

Following the finale, Malik Yoba talked to TMZ Live, as Vernon was killed off in the finale. He discussed how he was doing fundraisers using the “Empire” popularity for positive foundations. Then, he explained how he learned he was going to be killed off from the series.
