One season of “Empire” is over and it has gone down in history. The world was introduced to the world of Lucious Lyon, portrayed by Terrence Howard. Powerful, talented, and homophobic, Lucious Lyon is a man willing to do anything to get what he wants.
When “Empire” began, Lucious was dealing with news that he suffered from ALS and given three years to live. As he was dealt with painful news, he decided to turn his company over to one of his sons. This began a war between the brothers.
While Lucious wanted all of his sons to fight for the company, he wanted what was best for them. Everything came to a head in the past few episodes, however, when Lucious sent Hakeem’s girlfriend, portrayed by Naomi Campbell, away. This led to Hakeem seeking out Anika, portrayed by Grace Gealey, Lucious’ ex-girlfriend who Lucious cheated on with Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), and sleeping with her, with Lucious walking in and Twitter had a field day with this turn of events.
