Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Hakeem from #EmpireFOX, talks successful first season with Hot 97 [VIDEO]

Yazz Hot 97“Empire” won television over during the 2014-2015 season. Entering the season midseason, “Empire” has shown hip hop in a different light. For the first time in hip hop history, there is an official scripted program for the culture.

The new series, “Empire,” is headlined by Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. These two have starred in several films and did Hustle & Flow together, back in 2005. They have portrayed the powerful parents of three sons and Terrence’s Lucious is loosely based on Jay-Z.

Bryshere “Yazz” Gray portrays Hakeem, the youngest of the three sons and he stopped by Hot 97 this morning. Sitting down for an exclusive interview with Ebro, Yazz spoke on being both an actor and a rapper. During the interview, he went on to discuss the phenomenal first season “Empire” has enjoyed.
