This week, G-Unit made their return to the game with The Beast Is G-Unit, their second project within a year’s time. The release of this project is far different than G-Unit’s initial offering, on a mainstream level. Back in 2003, 50 Cent introduced G-Unit with Beg For More.
G-Unit experienced a lot of success with their debut album, on the heels of the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ phenomenon. The crew had success off the first two singles, “Stunt 101” and “Poppin’ Them Thangs.” However, the third single was a different turn for them.
Rugged and hardcore, G-Unit presented “Wanna Get To Know You” featuring Joe, a rap ballad. This song was different from the other G-Unit hits, as Young Buck had the opening verse on the song. But, the classic from 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck is this week’s Wednesday Throwback.
