Most credit Wale for bringing the Washington, DC hip hop scene to the forefront of hip hop. One thing is for sure, Wale certainly helped Fat Trel rise from the mixtape scene to the mainstream. Back in 2013, Wale was essential in Fat Trel signing to Maybach Music and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
Wale is currently working on The Album About Nothing, his third album with Maybach Music. Leading up to the album, Wale has the “Simply Nothing” tour, which he is headlining. But, Fat Trel and Bizzy Crook, a native of Miami, is on the road with him.
Last night, Wale, Fat Trel, and Bizzy Crook stopped in Charlotte, performing at The Fillmore. Hip Hop Vibe’s DJ YRS Jerzy and his crew were present for the show and they got some footage of Fat Trel’s performance. The DC rapper really had the whole crowd rocking with him.
