Much of the hip hop industry is entertainment, after all the music is entertaining. As the years have gone by, people have found more ways to entertain, including the music videos. Currently, the most-entertaining act in hip hop is Rae Sremmurd, known for their hit, “No Flex Zone.”
Released last summer, “No Flex Zone” became one of the biggest releases of the year. The song carried over well into 2015 and the music video did very well. One of the reasons why was Ms. J Lashay, who appears in this music video, along with many other notable videos.
Ms. J Lashay is one of the biggest models in the industry and she decided to reveal how she got there. This week, Ms. J Lashay is Hip Hop Vibe’s Hottie of the Week and she opened up about a lot. She explained her journey to get where she is at and she discussed her music video appearances.

How long have you been modeling and what part of the country are you located? I have been modeling since 2010, but I took a small break in the years between and now I’m back at it!
Can you tell us a little something about your background away from modeling? Before I started modeling in 2010, I was a college student at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where I majored in Nursing. I also worked a 9-5, those weren’t my specific hours, but you get what I’m saying!
How has being a model changed your life so far? What is the next level for J. Lashay? Being a model has changed my life a lot! Unlike before, many people know of me now! Even down to my appearance gotta keep it cute, I’m always meeting new people! As far as the next level, the sky is the limit! I’m working on building my brand.
What do you like to do for fun and what are your favorite foods to eat? For fun I like shopping, mingling with friends, chilling with that special someone (winks), & reading! As far as food, I don’t have a favorite I’m a country girl, I eat it all! (giggles).
As a model, what are some of the ways that you find bring in the most income? Well, with the industry being nothing like it use to be, I think your money depends on how hard you grind keeping yourself known. CONSISTENCY!
I see you were in the homie, Gipp Goodie’s, video “Damn That Booty Big” was the whole song about you? (laughs) I love your booty by the way. (Laughs) Actually no, the song wasn’t specifically about me, I just fit the description well! Thank you! I love this all natural hump myself. It’s what makes me stand out from most women in the industry today. You don’t find this often!
Your measurements read 36-29-48 correct. So let me get this straight (clears throat) you have a 48 inch ass? Yes, I have a 48 inch all natural, no enhancements, no artificial preservatives ass! (laughs)
“No Flex Zone” is a big record for Rae Sremmurd. What was it like filming for that video and do you get recognized because of it? Filming with Rae Sremmurd was lots of fun! They’re very intelligent and friendly young men and so is producer, Mike Will Made It, on set and yes I did gain recognition for it.
If I were the man that you were checking for how would you step to me to let me know and how long would it take to get my hands on all that chocolate? It’s very rare that I’m checking for someone usually it’s the other way around!
