Of course, there is always a love from the hip hop community towards the lovely Tracee Ellis Ross. Throughout the mid-1990s into the mid-2000s, UPN was a haven for the urban television viewer. Here, there were countless urban scripted sitcoms.
Tracee Ellis Ross starred in, arguably, the most-notable UPN sitcom, “Girlfriends.” The show ended in 2008 on The CW, but not before Tracee became an urban sex symbol. Her figure and her humor gained her a legion of fans who have followed her to ABC for “Black-ish.”
Now playing TV wife to Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross has another hit on her hands with this sitcom. Tonight, Tracee Ellis Ross won Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for “Black-ish” at the NAACP Image Awards. Tracee Ellis Ross took the stage and delivered a moving acceptance speech, which definitely helped move the culture forward and the fans on Twitter loved it.
