Early in his career, many people tried to tie DJ Khaled down to just the hip hop scene in the South. This comes from DJ Khaled starting out rising the ranks in Miami. But, he had the Fat Joe co-sign from day one and he also worked with the likes of Ja Rule and Kanye West, early on.
