In the years following “Duffle Bag Boy,” 2 Chainz, then going by Tity Boi, began hitting the mixtape scene hard. But, it was in 2011 when he made the transition to 2 Chainz and things clicked. When 2012 came, he became one of the biggest rappers in the game.
Entering his partnership with Def Jam, 2 Chainz immediately dropped albums in 2012 and 2013. However, in 2014, 2 Chainz decided to take some time off, only releasing an EP. In the early days of 2015, 2 Chainz already has a new mixtape out featuring his crew.
XXL had the chance to sit down with 2 Chainz and he talked about some of his ambitions outside of making music. Politics is a possible venue for 2 Chainz to enter in the not too distant future. When he did the interview, 2 Chainz spoke on the possibility of him running for mayor of College Park.
