Few moments in hip hop can compare to the rise of G-Unit. Being in Queens to witness it makes it all the more amazing, as 50 Cent took over with Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and Young Buck. He had help from such guys as Eminem, Paul Rosenberg, and DJ Whoo Kid, playing their roles.

50 Cent had more momentum than any artist in history with his official debut album. Behind this energy, Get Rich or Die Tryin’ initially sold 8 million copies. This is a feat no artist in hip hop has accomplished in the eleven years since then.

Complex sat all of the key players down for an interview with their “Magnum Opus” series. Included in this feature is 50 Cent, the G-Unit members of Tony Yayo and DJ Whoo Kid, along with Eminem and Paul Rosenberg. All of them discussed that period of time and what the feeling was like for each of them when it was all happening.
