When LL Cool J recorded Phenomenon, he was introduced to Canibus, an up-and-coming emcee, by Redman. After hearing him rhyme, LL Cool J added Canibus to his single, “4,3,2,1.” The song ended up becoming the source of a major beef between the two artists.

LL Cool J and Canibus went on to exchange disses from 1997, when LL perceived his “4,3,2,1” verse as a diss until 2000. While the beef died down, most did not consider it to be over. But, the two have officially ended their beef in the wake of Christmas.

Christmas in Brooklyn went down tonight and LL Cool J brought Canibus out to perform “4,3,2,1.” The two have now officially put their tension to rest and they made for a beautiful moment in hip hop. A fan uploaded their performance to Instagram and the video will likely hit the internet in full later on tonight.
