Following a three year hiatus, Mary J. Blige made her return with The London Sessions, working directly with Sam Smith and Disclosure. For the past decade, Mary J. Blige has stayed making similar music. But, she ended up teaming up with Sam Smith and Disclosure for her new album.

Working with two of the biggest breakout artists from London, Mary J. Blige felt obligated to title her album The London Sessions. Her new album is doing well and this is a major change for her. It isn’t easy for an artist to go through such a drastic change after putting in over twenty years in the game.

Mary J. Blige is making her media rounds and she recently stopped by Hot 97 to talk about her new music. This time, it is only Ebro and Laura Stylez, as Peter Rosenberg wasn’t there for the interview. During the conversation, Mary J. Blige explained why she changed her style up and worked with Sam Smith and she also talked about her marriage.
