A man of many talents, Astro is one of the most-popular rising rappers in the game. His claim to fame, however, is him competing to be the winner on “The X Factor,” the hit FOX series, which has since been cancelled. Currently, Astro stars in “Red Band Society,” which is struggling to make it past its first season on FOX.
Before he landed an acting role, Astro talked to Hip Hop Vibe in Brooklyn. During this period, he was promoting Starvin Like Marvin For An LL Cool J Song, which ended up being met with critical acclaim. The year since then has seen Astro find success as both a rapper and as an actor.
Astro recently stopped by Hot 97, talking to Ebro, Peter Rosenberg, and Laura Stylez. Now, he lives in Atlanta, because this is where “Red Band Society” films and he discussed this during the interview. In the conversation, Astro talked about the premise of the show, which is teenage hospital patients growing up while sick.
