Most first learned of Astro in 2011, when he competed on FOX’s “The X Factor,” which has since been cancelled. At the time, the show was the biggest on television and Astro was the breakout star. While he didn’t win the competition, Astro gained enough connections to make it in both music and television.
Astro released his new album, Computer Era, this week and he has made his media rounds following the project release. The new album continues Astro’s run, as he is one of the emcees credited for bringing lyricism back to the game. With this, he also brings an increasingly powerful voice.
Recently, Astro stopped by Shade 45 and talked to Sway for “Sway In The Morning.” Since the hot button topic is Ferguson and Michael Brown, Sway asked Astro for his take on the situation. Then, he talked about potentially being the Jay-Z of Blue Ivy’s generation and his recording process.
