Project Pat VladTVAt various junctions, Memphis hip hop has dominated the entire rap game. Last year was one of these years, but 2005-2006 was one of their most-memorable runs. This was when Three 6 Mafia released “Stay Fly” and later won an Academy Award for their music included on the soundtrack for Hustle & Flow.

Despite the continued success Three 6 Mafia has had, they have shed almost all of their members. The only members left are Juicy J and DJ Paul, who has gone on to form Da Mafia 6ix with many former Three 6 members. Even Project Pat, who is still close to everyone, is no longer a part of Three 6 Mafia.

Project Pat recently sat down with VladTV and he discussed the situations with the one group with two different names. First, Project Pat discussed Crunchy Black leaving the original group, before discussing Da Mafia 6ix. He explained why, despite making guest appearances, Juicy J won’t be a part of the new group.
